On 17/05/2019, a written complaint was received at Gorubathan PS regarding the sexual assault of a minor girl (12 yrs). A case was registered under section 6 of POCSO Act and endorsed to SI CB Bhujel for investigation, who completed the investigation and submitted the chargesheet in a span of less than 2 months. The Ld. Special Court sentenced the accused to 14 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of ₹ 20,000 as per relevant sections of the law.
